What is an NFP Class?

Our NFP class for Engaged Couples (NFP class) is a one time session that can be attended by engaged couples in the Catholic Diocese of  Austin to meet the NFP requirement for marriage preparation at their parish.

The NFP Class covers the following topics:

  • Four common methods of natural family planning  
  • The effects of contraceptives 
  • Couple’s experiences using an NFP method 
  • Theology of the body and its relation to natural family planning.

St. Williams Parishioner?

Couples from St. Williams need to register for an Introductory Session class AND complete 4 follow ups. This NFP class will not satisfy your requirements. 

How to Get Started

Registration

Sign Up for a Class

Click on the registration page and find an event labeled “NFP Class” that fits your schedule. Include both partners in the forms where applicable.

Make a Payment

After signing up, you’ll be prompted to pay online with a one-time charge via PayPal. This must be paid prior to your class.

Confirm Your Class

Immediately after registering, you will receive a confirmation email. If this is not the case, check your spam or email us at info@austinfcc.org for confirmation.

Fertility Takes Two:
Both engaged must attend to receive an attendance certificate.

Join Your Class

After registering, you’ll receive an email with instructions and a link to your zoom meeting the week of the event. Each class of engaged couples is usually guided by married instructors and lasts 90 minutes.

Fill out the Worksheet

All couples will need to fill out a pre-marriage worksheet to start conversations on important aspects of your fertility and family planning. All couples need to complete this to get their certificate of attendance.
